The Village has an excellent selection of pubs, restaurants, shops and tea rooms,  or if you prefer to cook visit the local shop which sells local produce.  

From the harbour you can do fishing trips, catch the Ferry to Fowey harbour, or walk/cycle the coastal path,  visit the model railway museum, Mevagissey museum or the Aquarium.

If you feel like adventuring out of the village then The Lost Gardens of Heligan (3 miles)  which is a botanical garden considered to be amongst the most popular in the UK.

Charlestown (7miles)  is a village and port famed for its Shipwreck Museum , Ships and traditional appearance , which has been used as a filming location for films and dramas. 

The Eden Project / Hangloose Adventure (10 miles) visit the massive biomes at the Eden Project housing the largest rainforest in captivity, stunning plants, summer concerts and exciting year round family events tickets and information are available on their website  https://www.edenproject.com

If you want to explore more of Cornwal, l then Mevagissey is a good base, if you don't mind driving then Port Isaac is worth a visit this is where Doc Martin was filmed and is 30 miles (1hr drive).
